Bob Batterman: A&P since 1965 and IA since 1969. Held a Designated Airworthiness represeatative rating for six years in eastern Utah and western Colorado. After graduation from Glendale college aviation program, Bob worked on large radial engine overhauls and continued on large radial engine piston aircraft. Taxi and run qualified in DC2, DC3, DC4, DC6, DC7, Martin 404, Convair 340, 440, 580, all models Lockheed Constellations and model 188 Electra. Bob has been lead mechanic and inspetor for several non-scheduled airlines and fire bomber companies and has been the maintenance represeatative for owners at outside maintenance facilities. Maintained Corporate A-26 and L-18 aircraft and ten AT6 trainers. Participated as pit crew for Reno Air Races for 1965 and 1978 races and did maintenance between races. Worked for Piper and Cessna dealers and Service Centers for 38 years as mechanic, lead mechanic, forman, director of Maintenance, Instpecor, Chief Inspector, Accesory overhaul mechanic and foreman, Engine overhaul manager. Headed West Star Aviation Turbine Maintenance division for their first two years of operation. Director of maintenance for an air ambulance and several Cessna Citiation 135 operations. Six years with TAS.
Married for 45 years to the same wonderful girl and has two grown children.
