• Cessna 210 cantilever wing structural repairs
From years of doing numerous inspections on 210s and 210 wings, we found that many in the aging fleet suffer from loose main spar casting 'Huck bolt' pins. The slight movement between the castings, the spar cap, and the spar web elongates these pin holes, causing black runs or 'streamers' around the head or tail of the 30 pins in each wing. We have formulated a special process that allows installation of 1/64" over-sized pins with the proper interference fit.
• Columbia/Corvalis structural repairs
We have added composite repair capabilities as well as include the critical environmental controls needed for these repairs to the Columbia/Corvalis series.
• Mooney wing structural repairs
The Mooney wing skins are an interesting challenge because, unlike other planes, they extend from the bottom trailing edge all the way around to the top trailing edge. This makes fitting and alignment much more difficult. Proper jigging is extremely critical because removal of any of the skins allows the wing to flex easily. We have jigging fixtures that allow us to do almost any repair to a Mooney wing without separating the wing from the cabin. If the plane can be made ferryable, we can most likely perform the repairs in situation on the plane, allowing substantial savings in time and money.
